A short program will highlight the work and impact of Caregivers on the Homefront, as well as our plans for the future. Guests will also enjoy opportunities to speak with Veteran Caregivers and a silent auction. The night will begin with two dynamic speakers;
James S. “Jim” Hall enlisted in the Marines out of high school. His initial assignment was as a helicopter mechanic/crew chief before being commissioned as an infantry/artillery officer. Jim retired after 20 years of peacetime and combat service. Acutely aware of the growing need for mental health services, especially for veterans, Jim is working with other deacons in the diocese on a Veterans Mental Health Outreach in conjunction with the Association of Catholic Mental Health Ministers.
Ryan Maid - Royals Director of Behavioral Science. Maid previously worked as a Navy Psychologist for seven years, serving as the Command Psychologist for Naval Special Warfare Training Command (2013-17) and as the Officer in Charge of the Operational Stress Control and Readiness program for the Sixth Marine Regiment (2011-13). He originally joined the Navy in 2010 through a postdoctoral fellowship program and was honorably discharged as a Lieutenant Commander in March of 2017.
